A walk in the snow

In the "what were we thinking" department -- HullBoss and I decided to go for a 10-MILE walk today. It was mostly cloudy, about 22 degrees. Not TOO bad except the last half mile was a steady uphill grade, and by the time we got to the car, we were absolutely beat. Now, after a Mexican dinner (with marguerita), a hot bath (with Bailey's and coffee), two Aleve, and about six glasses of water, I'm ready to post some shots. I think it'll be a while before we try that again -- five miles, maybe -- 10, no. These were all taken in the afternoon. That's about as high as the sun gets this time of year.

Anyway -- I liked this one for the symmetry.



The sun was shrouded by clouds most of the day, so it was pretty easy to shoot into it.







For just a little while the clouds thinned out and the blue sky shone through. This is another Zen shot. :)

I liked the first too, and the second last.

looks a lot like southcentral Alaska? Aren't we at about the same latitude?

Makes Baltimore look boring.

"Homicide: Life on the Streets" and "The Corner." What more could you ask for??

It's too bad they don't make new ones. It was always great fun to see blocks and neighborhoods I recognize.

Excellent TV. I've never been to Baltimore, by the way, so I really don't have any idea what I'm talking about. ;)
