the moon thru a telescope

so i have a telescope I bought 15 years ago or so at a going out of business sale.. Ive never used it.. I had a different scope years ago that I donated to a school when I moved to texas..
took the scope out.. put batteries in it for the first time ever.. lo and behold it worked..
pointed it at the moon. got a nice view.. then I had an idea.. what if I took a camera and focused thru the eyepiece..

I know I can buy an adapter to hook my camera up directly to the scope for $10 or so.. I had one with my old scope but it disappeared thru the years.. Ill try that next

2. great idea!

I've actually thought about doing that with binoculars but alas no tripod for those.

This looks like fun and it's great to get an upclose look at the craters. I'd love to see what you get after you add the adapter.
