Here's one I'm not entering...

...but almost wish I could, just so I could submit an entry titled A "Fall" in Fall. ;-)

1. How did I miss this all day?
What a beautiful picture.

2. Why didn't you enter it?
Even though I voted in your Poll I completely expected you to come up with something else for an entry. It's a regnaD kciN tradition. Now you really have me confused.

3. Maybe because I liked the photo I submitted better...?

;-)

I mean, A "Fall" in Fall is nice enough, but it doesn't strike me as among my absolute top autumn shots. In fact, in the gallery on my website, I have it listed in the "waterfalls" section rather than the "autumn" section. Although the fall colors are nice, they're mostly concentrated at the bottom half of the image, with less-interesting evergreens at the top. The composition isn't what it could be.

On the other hand, maybe I should have submitted this photo, but I only finished processing it this evening, after I had submitted my entry.

Anyone care to guess a) why it took me so long to come up with this one and b)why I'm not petitioning to change my submission? (HINT: It's also the reason why this photo might be more appropriate for an "extreme processing" challenge than an autumn one. )

4. On second thought...
...maybe I will substitute this photo in the contest.

5. Let me know, Mr. Danger,
because I can do a substitution easy enough. This is a really pretty shot. And I didn't make any rules about processing, so if it wasn't truly this golden, nobody's going to know the difference.

6. I think I'll stick with the original...
For me, the photo above is a really nice landscape in autumn, but Tricolor is an attempt to capture the essence of autumn. This photo would fit with any number of contest or challenge topics (waterfalls, mountains, wilderness, landscapes in general), while my original entry is pretty much fall-specific.

You'll probably see A "Fall" in Fall (or whatever else I change its name to) in another contest sooner or later...
