Thanks to F. Gordon and ConsAreLiars
They're the ones that pointed out the obvious, that the best choice for a photo slideshow is in a PDF document. After experimenting with various softwares, I think the PDF is the best one for what I'm looking for.

It's secure where people won't be stealing my photos, it's easy to e-mail and accessible to almost anybody and it allows me to include captions and commentary, which is very important to me.

And it doesn't take forever to download. In fact, I converted the antiwar protest slideshow from Powerpoint to PDF because the PowerPoint took several minutes to download on some computers, not to mention several minutes to e-mail as an attachment.

Let's face it, a lot of people just don't have the patience nor the time to sit there and wait for something to download. So in case you weren't able to see those slideshows because of the above reasons, here they are again.

1. Raging, maybe sometime you can walk me through
step by step on how you did this, because I would sure like to put my 9/24 protest pictures into a slide show that I could e-mail to friends also. I have about 50 pictures that I picked for a presentation here a few weeks ago for the local peace groups, but I just put the pictures on a CD and let the presenter worry about how to get them up on the screen. There are so many things I don't know how to do -- arrgghh.

3. Both shows look good and the captions enhance the photos.
Screen grabbers can still copy the images, of course, but unlike a standard web page the images are not automatically copied into the browser cache or easily saved by the average user.

Nice work.
