Any plans for New Year's Eve?
What's everybody doing? How are you planning on spending New Year's Eve? What are your plans? Me, nothing.

1. I'm not sure.
I wasn't planning anything at all. Then I read this thread, and decided to do something, as yet undefined, to join in:

Then I got a call from my youngest son, who rescheduled his holiday visit for Friday and Saturday. I don't know if he'll be here for the actual eve; he has other friends in the area and knows I'm not likely to be awake until midnight. I do my best sleeping between 9:00 and 2:30 am. If he's here, I'll probably watch a movie and stay up with him until midnight, or as late as he can keep me awake. If he's with friends, I'll do a vigil/meditation for the new year, and go to bed.

3. The husband wants to go to a party at his bosses house.
So he probably will and I'll stay home alone :-) Works for me ;-)

5. I know if I went I wouldn't have much fun.
So therefore just by staying home, that automatically gives me a head start on the having fun part. Doesn't it?;-)

Besides who wants to be around a bunch of drunken contractors and carpenters talking shop, nauseatingly sucking up to the boss and the highlight of the evening:eyes: comparing their tools :boring: ;-)

And then ask me to remain sober through it all so I can be the DD :-( No way

7. I spent a quiet evening at home by myself.

I watched the tape delay of the ball dropping in NYC.
I called my Mom and left her a message on her machine
wishing her a Happy New Year. I knew she'd be out partying
so I left it on her home machine, that way I wouldn't have
to talk to her.

Purrfect evening, I say. I'm so not a "joiner."

8. Me too.
Read a book. Went to bed when I finished it.
And I slept well too.
The family was out at parties and with friends, so we all
had a Happy New Year.
