Please join me in prayer for our nation and its people.

**Out of the Depths I cry unto Thee; O Lord, Deliver us! (Ps 130:1)

God, we are out of control. People are hungry, thirsty, and dying. They are desperate to survive, and find no relief.
O Lord, Deliver us!

We look to our leaders for help and turn away enraged by their apathy.
O Lord, Deliver us!

We watch the news, read the reports on the internets, and anxiously await news on loved ones.
O Lord, Deliver us!

We are angry, God. We are furious at the slow response, and the ineptitude of our government. We cannot believe this is happening in our nation, with our resources.
O Lord, Deliver us!

We look to the future and are afraid. Many of us are wondering how we are going to pay our bills. We feel helpless and paralyzed.
O Lord, Deliver us!

Lord, watch over those who weep or work or watch this night, and give your heavenly angels charge over them. Bring relief to the suffering, food and drink for the hungry, rest for the weary, and safety for all. Show us how we may be a blessing to others in need, and inspire us to do and give even more.
Our souls wait for you, O Lord.

In your most holy and gracious name, we pray. Amen.

I wrote this prayer tonight, and will probably use it in church on Sunday. You have my permission to pass it along to anyone you love.

4. I'll join you. I'm not even religious...I feel too helpless. I wish

I had lots of money so I could rent a tour bus or greyhound and a boat and go get some of the people and pets and take care of them until they can find the rest of their families. I feel so helpless.

Could you also ask for the wisdom for us to know how to muddle through this madness in an efficient way to save those that are still suffering. Sorry, but we are lacking the wisdom of the Holy Spirit recently. And that is my most requested prayer "Dear Lord please fill me with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit so that I will know your Will".

12. You have a good point, but this is not standing on a soap box

and preaching in the street. Jesus did not like religious show offs. This group, though, is sort a private place almost like a church. Jesus does want us to pray and help others.
