My daughter lives in Johnston City . . . she read this to me on the phone today.

John Shuck is the pastor I wanted to be when I was thinking of going to seminary some 30 years ago.

2. He gets really close, but misses the point.
Why, among all the other deaths he cites, do we remember that of Jesus? That's the question Girard answers.

Another reminder of why I'm a Girardian, and not a "progressive Christian".
