the worst thing the music studios have ever done?

I think suing young people and grandmothers for millions of dollars is very, very bad.

And refusing to go along with Spotify (except, now, for Sony) is stupid.

But deep in my heart, I think the worst thing they've done is refuse to update the rights to the music originally used in WKRP In Cincinnati. I'd buy the complete DVD set, but only if the original music were still in place. They've ruined a fantastic TV show with their greedy ways.

(For those who don't know, btw, Spotify is a music service that's doing gangbusters business in Europe. It allows you to stream any music. All of it, pretty much. You can build playlists that you share with friends, or build playlists together collaboratively. And all you have to do is either pay 10 dollars or month or put up with a single commercial every three or four songs. It's by far the most popular streaming music service in Europe.

They've been trying to enter the US market for some time, but the record companies are too stupid to realize that the old ways of doing business are over and done for, and have been for some time. Sony finally struck a deal with Spotify, so hopefully the other three will follow suit soon.)
