I first saw them around 93-94 on their "Undertow" tour at the American Theatre in St. Louis, MO. (small venue that used to be an old opera house)

That show is in my top 3 of all time.

They pretty much played the whole album with a few Opiate tracks thrown in and they sounded so tight and clean it was amazing.

After the show, a few friends and I hung out back by the tour bus and got to meet Adam, the guitarist. he was pretty cool. A friend of mine asked Adam if the rumour about Maynard being gay was true, and Adam replied "Does it matter?" and then said "Maynard is a-sexual" .....funny shit!

After about ten minutes or so, Maynard came walking up, didn't say a word, but nodded to us all and went onto the tour bus. About a minute later he came back out with sodas for us all. WAY COOL! ( I was like sixteen at the time)

No bullshit.

I have seen them at larger venues since, but it wasnt the same as that small venue with the personal feel.

I hope they tour again soon.

Can't wait to see them again

5. so apparently their new album's been leaked.
I haven't heard it, I'll; just wait till it comes out and buy it because some bands are still worth paying for. Anybody heard this new album yet, if so, how is it?

6. It's totally astounding.
Anyone who just downloads it is a tool, since you miss out on the fantastic album package - it's set up as a stereoscope with 3-d views of band artwork.

the music is absolutely the best Tool yet - dark, and takes multiple listens to plumb the depths. A friend thought that this album would be the one that would finally alienate all the frat boys who hung onto tool from Aenima...
