Bluegrass music on the internet
http://www.worldwidebluegrass.com/home/ It has broadband and dialup streams.

I also have some AppleScript launchers for dial up and broadband for you Mac users.

for Dial up:

tell application "RealPlayer"
run
open location "http://wwb32.internetradiopros.net/listen.php?type=ram"
end tell

For Broadband:

tell application "RealPlayer"
run
open location "http://wwb128.internetradiopros.net/listen.php?type=ram"
end tell

Copy the script you want and open the Script editor in Applications/AppleScript
Paste the script in the editor and hit run. Real Audio will open and the stream should play.

If it works, save as application. I named it WorldWideBluegrass. If it doesn't, check to make sure there isn't a mistake. Sometimes copy paste may accidentally chop off the first or last character "ell" instead of "tell"

2. Thank you for the link.
Here's Appalshop's station WMMT http://www.appalshop.org/wmmt/ It's not purely music, but it is the voice of the region, music and all.

3. Thanks! Penn State University has good folk programming
I listen whenever I am out that way visiting family. Of late, that has only been once a year, though.

I could probably learn a lot listening to a Kentucky radio station, since one of my main issues is coal mining. I need to figure out how to get the audio stream playing through my favorite internet audio player, www.quinnware.com . I am new to those concepts. And all that is going to have to wait until I get some *real* work done.
