One is George W. Told The Nation ( By Tom Paxton)...."this is not an escalation".

The other is of course much older, the original Vietnam protest song on with the George W. song was based.

Lyndon Johnson Told the Nation

From the You Tube Poster:

Previously, I hadn't known Tom Paxton wrote "George W. Told the Nation" as a spin off from an earlier song "Lyndon Johnson told the Nation." Thanks to a comment on the video I made of "George W. Told the nation" by Carol, I became aquainted with the song.

Here is Tom Paxton singing his anti vietnam war song "Lyndon Johnson told the Nation" with images of the era, which also includes my father's own "letter from LBJ

Also posted the video of Tom Paxton on Pete Seeger's show on PBS in 1965.

Tom Paxton "Buy A Gun For Your Son" 1965...on Pete Seeger's PBS show

I very much enjoy Paxton's music. I posted another thread about it in this music forum months ago.
