Monday, 4/11: I worked out today--did you? (Bad-ass strikes again!)
Hi folks.... I'm back to my routine at the gym today.

Total track workout was 2.2 miles (I jogged 2.1 of that). Definitely feeling bad-ass about this.

Then to the weight room.... upper body and abs.

I'm wearing a pair of pants today that are a size I have not got into in more than 20 years. (They're VERY snug around the waist, thanks to this god-awful hernia, but they fit everywhere else.)

3. Congratulations on your pants!

Euw, that sounded weird, didn't it? Anyway, congrats on fitting into them--that's a great accomplishment! :toast:

Today I did pure aerobics, Christi Taylor's Step Heaven, with some modifications of the ultra-dancy moves (I'm a total klutz; no ballerina here! :-)).

Edit: I didn't do the circuits in stage 3, I followed the background exercisers who showed the cardio options.

5. running day
way to go peoples!

My sympathetic friend Miss X agreed to pick me up and take me to the gym at 6:15 this morning since the ex-BF is out of rotation. (Miss X is the best.) Unfortunately the fine print on my gym's free guest pass says: 8am to 9pm only. "No problem," I said, "let's run the Loop instead."

So we went to Memorial Park (big woodsy area in Houston) and ran/walked/ran the 3-mile loop. Trouble is, Miss X is currently not as fit as I am. So when she had to walk, I'd run ahead a ways, touch an enormous tree, double back, pass her, touch another tree, and catch up with her again when she was ready to give it another go. We did this several times througout the Loop, then walked/ran/walked the last half-mile or so together. So overall this method resulted in a workout of well over 3 miles for me! :)

6. congrats on your bad ass-ness!
:applause:

I did about 25 minutes of cardio and busted out some squats and leg raises.

Nothing big today, I plan on getting up early tomorrow to go running, but we'll see.

7. Woo hoo! Good on ya and your "new" wardrobe
Proof positive that you're losing weight.

Arm day for me. Absolutely brutal. Gym was packed...dunno why.

8. Great news on the fine-fitting slacks!
I have an entire wardrobe I'm hoping to get back into soon and by biking nine miles a day, it has to happen eventually, right?

I was very pleased with my Monday results -- I increased my average mph by over a mile and I could tell that I'm going up hills in higher gears, proof that I'm getting stronger and more skilled. So 9.4 miles on the bike for me! :D

9. Yesterday was my first day back in the gym...
And it was so-so. I feel really tired with the stress of a sick kitty, a pregnant wife, a needy son and the general T-minus-15 days to impending baby #2.

All the same I was glad to be back. I'm going kinda light, but trying to get everything in this week, to get back up to speed. Over the last 2 weeks of skipping exermacizing, I lost 4 poundsish of good weight and must have gained 2 of bad weight. /sigh/

So yesterday was chest day and today will be shoulders.

Also on my first days of NO-Xplode which is certainly a stimulant and seems to help, but until I'm done being exhausted for other reasons it's gonna be hard to judge.
