Thurs, 4/21: I worked out today--did you?
Well, today I did it. I ran 2.0 miles without walking. (I did stop for water twice and once to stretch my hip.)

The other big news is that I have registered for my first 5K race.

I don't know who it was that put that bug in my brain, but I've decided that it's something I want to try.

I have exactly 30 days to add that 1.2 miles to my current run. Wish me luck!

1. I predict you will exceed 5k in two weeks -- and yes, I did work out
very early for me, 45 mins on the elliptical, a little light shoulder work for rehab purposes.

2. I jogged for about 1/2 hour
around the sidewalks on campus. I plan to go to the gym in the evening to lift.

4. First time this week
Been lazy this week so I decided to lift something heavy this AM. Got my deadlift back up to 300. First time since I tore a groin muscle back in Nov.
ONWARD to 340.

7. Only three laps (9.3 miles) on my bike today.
First, I take the lock off my bike and drop it and it bounces into the storm drain. Then I have trouble getting my new gear bag on the bike so that it won't sit on my front tire. Next, I'm having trouble getting my feet into my new pedals with the straps, and then my new bike sandals are too tight and pinching my ankle.

So I get all those things worked out but the worst is that I'm feeling all tired and that second wind never comes. So I'm on my way home trying to figure out why I was so tired and then I remember how I woke up at 4 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep!

I'm sure tomorrow will be better -- after I go buy a new lock! :(
