Sunday 9/4 workout thread. I had a nice workout today.
I walked 3.5 miles in an hour. And it may not be over yet. How about you? Yesterday, in addition to my regular workout of 3.5 miles and weight lifting, a friend called and wanted to know if I wanted to walk the bike path with him. The bike path is located on a levey for a river that runs along side our town. I told him I thought that was an excellent idea seeing as how I was just sitting here at my computer not burning any calories. We ended up walking 4 miles and we did most of the walking at night. It was a very nice time. The sky was clear and the river was smooth. We would pass people along the way who were sitting by the river fishing and enjoying a camp fire. We talked nearly the whole time we walked. I've known the guy since we were kids and the walking also seemed conducive to the talking.

I think I'm going to try to get him to do it again tonight.

And one more measly little pound and I will have lost 20. I think I can get it over the next couple of days if I do the bike path thing as well as my usual workout.

1. You are really an inspiration, Droopy.
I just kinda fell into an emotional void for a while, but I'm coming out of it. I'm going to be looking for a way to not alter my daily schedule so radically (the 4am thing just wasn't working even though on paper it should have been okay), and still be able to get in some exercise and continue eating more healthy.

Twenty pounds. That's great! :D

2. Thanks GG
I do my workouts first thing in the morning. Before I eat, before I shower, I am at the gym doing my thing. Keep in mind though that morning for me is about noon. I don't go into work until 4:15 PM. So it is easy for me to exercise before work. You just need to find a time when it's good for you to workout. I know that if I had to get up early I would feel less motivated to work out. Actually I probably wouldn't do it. I'd hit the snooze or unplug the alarm clock.
