Are you supposed to wear underwear under Bike shorts?
I have had it with the freaking chafing and will buy a pair today.
Do you wear underwear or go in the buff?

1. I do, but I ride a recumbent. I wear plain gym-type cotton shorts,
the same that I wear to work in the yard, and regular fruit-of-the-loom underneath. Shorts, T shirt, and canvas beach shoes is my daily attire since retiring - unless I go someplace with she-who-must-be-obeyed.

3. I don't
What's the point of getting no chafe shorts if you wear something with them that will chafe?

"What's the point of getting no chafe shorts if you wear something with them that will chafe?"

5. No, and you might also want to buy
some "Butt Balm" to help with the chafing. It's good stuff.

6. Definitely not!
At www.bikeforums.net, a great cycling forum, whenever anyone asks this question, the "Underwear Nazi" comes on to respond (and scold.)

Have fun! :hi:

8. No, but there are products available to slather on one's
nether regions, so to speak, to avoid chafing.

I've used a product called Butt Balm or something like that. It sounds obscene, but it does the trick, especially for long rides.
