Recommended running shoes?

Hello fitness folks!

I was wondering if anyone had strong recommendations on running shoes. I'm a 27 year old woman with completely normally shaped feet (though they are tiny, I wear a 5 or 5.5 depending on the brand) looking for a durable shoe for on and off-road running. I've got one pair of adidas sneaks that is on the way out, and another New Balance pair that seems to make my feet sweat (and blister). I am training for a 10km off-road run in November.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

1. Go to a shoe store that specializes in running shoes

we have one here in town called Fleet Feet. They will look at your other sneakers to see how they are worn, watch you run and look at the structure of your foot to find the best shoe for you. Make sure to tell them what you are doing, like 5k as opposed to a marathon. You may have one of these stores in your area check here

I suspect that there's no fleetfeet here (I live in Thailand) but I definitely take your point that a proper running shoe store with people who know way more than I would probably be the best place to find the perfect shoes.

Runners World online has a shoe finder tool that may be of use to you. www.runnersworld.com

My favorite running shoes are these: www.spirafootwear.com. I just got new pair last week on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods (not online, I went to the store).

Thanks for pointing me to the runnersworld website. I've never heard of Spira footwear before but will keep my eyes open. RW gave me some idea of the type of shoes I should be looking for; I think the previous poster's point about finding a good shoe store is probably the best advice.
