Detox diet advice?
My wife has been on a great diet for the last month or so and we agreed to maybe possibly trying a detox diet for me because lets face it I eat huge amounts of horrible food. I am planning on starting running and working out again....aaaaaaaany day now :eyes: no actually I am so should I factor that into my diet?

So far I have printed out a ton of stuff from this site

http://altmedicine.about.com/od/detoxcleansing/

Any other links I should know about?

I really only need a diet plan no tubes scents or spiritual stuff is needed thanks.

I am going to post this in the Health and fitness group mods.

1. The best advice I can give you is to...
See a Registered Nutritional Professional Who can clinically measure your Resting Metabolism and give you specifically tailored diet/nutrition advice based on the latest scientific knowledge.

You can find one from the American Dietetic Association

2. I've never put alot of stock in these "detox" programs
Personally I would just start eating healthy and things will take care of themselves. Good luck with the new fitness lifestyle.

3. I think Room 101 gave you the best advice above.
A dietitian can give you a pretty structured program tailored to you and can even provide shopping lists and recipes, I believe.

Now, on the other hand, I have done the Master Cleanse diet before and it is quite a ride.
