How to do 120 pushups and 120 hindu squats in a short period of time
Edited on Mon Dec-04-06 01:24 AM by Pushed To The Left
I have been playing around with different combinations of hindu squats and pushups after I do my isometrics, and I think I've discovered a way to do them that will be great for cardio. I do this with just enough rest to reposition myself:

10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups
10 hindu squats
10 pushups

At the end, I've done a total of 120 squats and 120 pushups with no rest..not bad for a 280lb. guy (not 280 for long, though!) The funny thing is that I used to do 20 squats and 20 pushups six times to reach 120 each, but doing 10 at a time seems to really hit the cardio more for some reason. I think it's because the muscles don't get a chance to really fatique all that much, while the cardio doesn't get to rest.

1. oh wow, that does sound like a good workout
other good combos are pushups and crunches or pushups and squat thrusts.

2. sounds good
If you are able to do that at 280lbs you'll probauly be pleasantly surprised at what your body looks like under those extra layers. I once weighed 300 and could barely do 5 pushups in a row, if you can do that much at 280lbs your pretty strong, and probauly even more importantly, disciplined.

I'm gonna give that a shot, I've been trying to supplement in more body weight/muscle endurance excersizes into my works outs. Right now its 3 days of heavy lifting, 3-4 run/cardio sessions.
