I've got a goal too
Edited on Mon Apr-04-05 10:03 AM by MissMillie
My son's NJROTC unit goes to a 4 day mini-bootcamp in mid-May. I have signed up to go as a parent chaperone.

Part of their daily PT is a 1.5 to 2.0 mile run. I'm hoping to run it with them. (Of course I realize I will probably not keep pace with them, but if I can finish the run w/o walking, I'll be a happy camper.)

I'm just wishing I had another hour every day to give to working out. The high is just incredible.

1. Sounds like someone's addicted...
Best vice there is, IMO.

Imagine you finish IN FRONT of some of these cadets. They'll take a little ribbing that Son of MissMillie's MOM finished before them.

2. The boy is already expecting to take a ribbing
simply because I'm going to be there. I understand that DIs can be ruthless.

I still have a long way to go before I could even think about finishing in front of any of these cadets, but I'm going to give it my best shot.

3. Some of the most fun I've ever had was in
basic. Yeah, I'm weird lol. I know 40yo NCO's that can run circles around the "babies". Age has little to do with fitness. ;) Good luck and have fun!
