How about putting Villagairosa on the next ticket?
He'd bring back a big chunk of the Latino votes Kerry lost and his charisma would energize the party from coast-to-coast.

It would also get us out of having to put a Senator in at least one of the spots without both spots having to be right-wing Southerners.

1. Might be interesting
to see what sort of mayor he turns out to be first! I'd suggest NM Gov, Bill Richardson as a more presidentially qualified Hispanic.

2. They way things have been going, I'm beginning to wonder
If we shouldn't look for people with less, rather than more, elective experience.

3. It should be Villaraigosa, not Villagairosa
I realized it too late after starting the thread.
Could the mods please correct the spelling?

4. I think the only mayor who could possibly run for and win the presidential
election would have to be the mayor of NYC. Bla bla bla, more population then 30 something states, bla bla bla.

5. Not a bad idea.
Tony is becoming a rising star in the party.

I have high hopes for him as mayor of LA.

6. still can't pass the bar
I find it distressing that he was a legislator in CA, but he failed to pass the CA bar..... four times!

Should those who write the laws have no knowledge of them?
