Two weird things about the S.C. results...can anybody explain these?
1)HRC lost by almost 30 points even though 61% of the S.C. voters were women(according to the CNN site polling info). How did she do so badly among women after she played the gender card so hard?

2)There appears to have been a huge swing from Edwards to Obama in the last 24 hours. What caused this? Or was it just that the late polls were inaccurately inflating Edwards' support?

Just wondering if somebody here can help offer reasons for the above.

1. I was also wondering... since Edwards was supposedly on the rise.
Wasn't he in second place a couple of days ago? I definitely thought he would pull more than 18%.

5. What are they voting on in SC?
Isn't that the state where the Repug results were all confused?

6. They vote on touchscreens
Which are very easy to manipulate. But you won't hear a peep about any voter wrongdoing since HRC didn't win.

7. I'll peep. Once again Edwards finishes well below where the polls had him
Doesn't that seem odd?

8. It does seem odd... especially since it is Edwards' home state
No matter who wins, I will never trust BBV. We have the BBV machines with no paper trail in GA, and I feel like my vote just disappears into the ether.

FWIW, I was truly pulling for John to have a better showing than the BBV machines reported. I think he's a good candidate and a great man.

11. Edward's 3rd place finish not odd at all
he didn't run for senate again because he knew he'd lose

his 3rd place finish is because voters have assessed his record and don't want him, nothing odd about it, it was predicted all along except for a brief surge in his polls for a few days

12. It was NORTH Carolina he didn't run for reelection from, not South Carolina
And, since you've begged the question, what's YOUR beef with the guy? Are you pissed off because he stopped being DLC?

about all of these elections ---

and the computers came in in the mid 1960's . . . !!!!

13. Interesting questions . . .
Sadly, I don't think they've yet freed the women of SC --- ???

On Edwards --- and I support him --- there seemed to be a huge groundswell of support for him according to those campaigning there and those watching. Another mystery!

Good questions --- and they should stick ---

16. Smart African Americans know it's anything but certain that that is a two-way street.
Why does she think there are so many African American Republicans? There should be close to zero.
