About Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi
I have a lot of respect for both. We all should have. Look at all the Republicans who decided to "retire" in 2008, not wishing to sit in the back seats with no power and no influence (little did they know that Obama would court them).

Most people, especially ambitious ones like politicians, don't like to be part of an impotent minority, the way the Bush White House treated them. Yet both persevered, climbed the ladder when there was a vacuum in the leadership and are now reaping the results.

Still, for the rest of us: are the skills required to hold leadership role when the party is in the minority, in both the White House and Congress, the same as when the party holds a majority?

I am not sure. While telling them: thanks, you held on on tough time now step aside, could be cruel and cynical, I have to wonder about the "better good" (that my spouse was so happy to hear in Obama's inauguration speech).

Wish we had our House of Lords to send there people like that. Who served the country but now it is time for a new blood.

4. Respect my butt
I think Pelosi and Reid are spineless and will be the reason why the Repubs will gain the Majority again in the Senate and House in the next election.

Then, we will be back where "we" were when Bill Clinton was the president, when the Repubs filibustered everything they could and spent millions of tax payer's dollars investigating anything and everything any Dem did.

Time for a new party!

9. We have a new party...
It's called the Republicrat Party. And it is in power. It is their table. Not the people's table. It was the table Nancy Pelosi spoke of when she took everything the people demanded off it.

Sorry but the only Democrats and Republicans left in this country are the fools who believe there are Democrats and Republicans on the ballot.

5. Going with the flow on this...
Neither one of them deserve more than the sole of a shoe applied to their asses to help propel them out of the way.

What's the big Nancy talking point right now? That in "support" of Obama's plan, she has said - not once, not twice, but three freakin' times that America will lose 500 Million jobs per MONTH (Here's one example)

Who does THAT help? Republican talking heads who now have ammunition to derail the subject or the Democratic ones who have to defend her nonsense instead of promoting Obama's plan?

Honestly, I lost all respect for her and had no further use for Miss Nancy after the "impeachment is off the table" stance. Far as I'm concerned, she is PART of the Bush Crime Syndicate, not an opponent.

What can you say about Harry? That is, without excessive cursing? There is NO rational explanantion for the number of times he has capitulated to the Republicans and if ANYONE can fathom why he hasn't called for full filibusters instead of the "express" version which provides "under the radar cover" for Republicans, please explain it to me. Does anyone think the Republicans would hold even as little public favor as they do if the public was AWARE of how many times they have pulled that stunt? As long as Harry provides them cover while they scream "Dem Obstruction!" I will consider him to be the Republican-in-a-sheepish-grin that he acts like.

Get rid of them both and put some NON Blue Dog/DLC asshat in charge.
