Dublin Irish Festival 20th celebration

Anyone in the Ohio area, the festival is August 3, 4 & 5 and one of the largest festivals in the country (second only to Milwaukee, I believe). Saturday night, we'll be trying for the largest Irish jig at 9 pm, all stages (we had the record, but Cork City took the title a year or so ago with the help of Michael Flatley).

I get to take sean-nos lessons from Niamh Parsons as part of the Academy before the festival/ There will also be advanced fiddle lessons from Eileen Ivers, would ya believe...

I have been buying lotto tickets like crazy so I could have a 1 in 187 million shot to see Niamh at the record shop in Doolin on my birthday August 25. No other way to swing it financially. Enjoy the hell out of that it will be MIGHTY! For those of you that have never heard Ms. Parsons sing you are missing something truely special.
