1. Everything that had to do with
the Sandman was cool for some reason.
Except teh artwork on the final arc. Marc Hempel was the wrong choice and it really diminished that storyline for me.

I liked the artwork on that arc. Markedly different from what we'd seen before, but that's sort of fitting, considering the change in management.

3. No, I'm talking about
The Kindly Ones, which was the final story line, The Wake was more of an Epilogue.
I found Hempel's art distracting and not in keeping with the visual feel of the series.

4. Can't argue with that
I remember making that same point to a guy at the comic shop where I bought them, but he was an advocate for the flat, cartoony style.

5. Which is fine sometimes
Hempel did "My Faith in Frankie" which was a very good comic and his style worked for that story. On Sandman it really fell flat.

6. Didn't do anything for me.
The series highlighted many names for them in other languages, though, so it wasn't intrusive.
