Lobbying and Ethics Reform Act of 2005.
On Wednesday, May 4, 2005, Congressman Meehan was joined by Illinois Congressman Rahm Emanuel to announce the Lobbying and Ethics Reform Act of 2005.

The bill seeks to clean up the relationship between lobbyists and Members of Congress in four ways: increasing disclosure of lobbying activities, slowing the "revolving door" between government and lobbying, curbing lobbyists-sponsored junkets and toughening enforcement and oversight.

He does have a nack for getting on HOT issues and getting them press.

2. Rep Pallone just spoke on this matter.
1. Still looking for a rethug co-sponsor.
2. When DeLay was asked to comment, his response was "I wouldn't carry water for those left-leaning liberals" (or words to that effect).
