Thinking of buying a new car that now has a spoiler--
which I don't want. The salesman says they can remove the spoiler no problem. Two questions: Won't that leave a mark? Will this affect how the car handles? BTW, the car is a Ford Fusion Thanks.

1. Hm.
I'd have thought, in theory, that the spoiler would be bolted on. I suppose they could Bondo the holes and reshoot the paint in the area. As for handling, doubtful. The spoilers on today's heavy, non-high performance cars are for looks mostly.

maybe they will simply swap the lid out with a non-spoiled one of the same color.

The typical sedan spoilers ain't no big deal. Mostly for looks. Do you not like the look?

3. Well this guy claimed there would be no problem
It will be the same car, so given what you both said I might have to back off.
