"Mad Scientist" on Courttv:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/25/AR2007012502091.html

Based largely on a 2002 article in The Washington Post Magazine, the program chronicles Alan Chmurny's bizarre, four-year fixation with Marta Bradley. What started off as a crush turned into stalking and ended in suicide -- in open court, no less.

The headline on the Post article was "Obsession." The title of the Court TV episode is "Mad Scientist." Both ring true.

"It's the weirdest and strangest case I've ever handled," stony-faced Lt. Glenn Case, of the Howard County Police, says early in the show...

I saw this last night and it is a very strange case.

1. I missed this episode
but hope they replay it sometime. I got hooked on CourtTV waaaayyyy back... Something must have gone 'click' in this man's head regarding this woman. He sounds very unbalanced. The article doesn't say, but is she OK?

2. Yes.
Thank goodness she noticed the mercury "balls" beading on the carseat and in the a/c vents. They now have something like a 6-million-dollar civil suit against his family. Not sure what I think about that; his family seems like victims in this, too.
