I expected his next sentence to be, " http://www.moviewavs.com/cgi-bin/mp3s.cgi?Love_At_First_Bite=shutup.mp3 !!!"

2. I've only seen a screencap of the apperance. Did he have a tan or was it
a case of really bad makeup?

3. Sure looked like bad makeup to me -- hence this crabby thread.
How could ANYONE get that tan in less than a week and not risk his health? (Actually, any tan is bad for you except for the chemically-induced ones -- and I'm not sure the jury isn't still out where those are concerned, as well.)

4. it can be done. I just haven't done it (intentionally or otherwise)
in so long I can't remember if you have to burn badly enough to peel first to get that brown. I think you can actually go from light pink to brown without visiting Lobster City but I'm not gonna try it out; I never was much of a Sun Worshipper. (Fell asleep on the beach about 20 years ago. My hair was past my shoulders then, so my upper arms were protected, but most of the rest of me burnt despite sunscreen, so I ended up with pale shoulders and Egyptian everything else -- much darker than KO looks in that photo. My back peeled twice, so you can imagine what a not-fun experience it was.)

5. It really depends on your complexion.
I'm quite fair to start off with so it would take me DAYS of judicious exposure to get that brown without burning. OTOH, if I burned, then I'd darken up pretty quickly but I'd have to really burn, and I'd be burned for DAYS. But I know people who are pretty dark to start off with and they could get that deep tan just a couple of days.

(It looks like makeup to me, too, WG, at least in the screencap...)

6. KO's forebears came from the same melanin-deprived part of the world ...
... that MINE did! Although, as the cherished pool pic shows, he does brown quite impressively -- which I do not.

Yeah, I think it was makeup. Reviewing the tape and comparing his face w/the backs of his hands would confirm it definitively, but I haven't been that ambitious today.

7. compare away, O industrious one
research reveals all... I also am pretty melanin-deprived (both of my grandfathers were red-heads, so you can guess how fair my skin is), but I go pink and then brown pretty quickly.

Not that any of this really matters so much as that we caught an unexpected glimpse of KO on his week off, even if it was sandwiched with unappetizing bites of Tweety... Hmm. Somehow, the words, "Tweety" and "bites" do seem to belong in the same sentence, don't they?

... does it first! :-)

10. Well, if Alison would just quit saying she's...
... "keeping Keith's seat warm," maybe he could get his mind on someplace else!

(Oooh, bad WhirlyG! :spank:)

to keep your own seat warm! :P (I understand Sparky might be willing to do that for you. Eager, even.)

13. Well, maybe...
... but when I do it, it's more of "a lick and a promise." ;-)

Sparky might start thinking he's the vice principal and put a little too much energy into it (trans: enjoy it too much).

He needs that energy to park cars, serve drinks, listen to OUR problems, and sweep up floaties...

Hi, Sparky! :hi: We really do appreciate all you do for us!

he was going to stay away from that one. I knew he was thinking about it. And if he's thinking about it, he might as well share. :9

Why don't they ask themselves "WWKOD?" before they do that s***?

15. when you're tuned to the "me" channel 24/7
you don't much care what anyone else -- human or divine -- would do. For some, there seems to be a belief that as long as you keep talking, you can somehow wrangle the situation to your advantage. Witness Martha Stewart kvetching already about her sentence. You know, M, we could just send your ass back to jail.

16. Athletes have a great sense of entitlement
The ones at my high school and my college got away with everything short of murder. The rules don't appply to them. Witness how they seemed to think appearing before congress was "optional".
