10. HIya Ralps
I missed the first half of this debate last night.
We really need this primary to end soon. This is just nasty.
Although Obama's remark about Bill's dancing was smoooooth.

the media questioners why they continually ask these devisive questions that take us off the issues. Is this not a serious enough election for them, do they have to reek more havoc then we've experienced already?

81. So many times, people feel so alone
and if they had told just one person how they felt, everything would be different.

It's terrible never to even get a chance to pull someone back from that precipice. Their suffering is over, and everyone else's is just beginning, as they try to figure out what the hell happened.

I just got off the phone with my cousin Lisa - and we talked for 3 hours. (It's freaky - she and I have the same voice, & the same humor)

I really feel for Dad and Russel - they're the ones who are struggling with this loss. My cousins, brother, and I are doing better with it. I just hope Dad can sleep tonight.

Your words resonate. Thanks for the clarity.

27. Hi, everyone
:hi:

Hey, if anyone hasn't voted at DFA yet, we need help! Nancy's opponent in the primary has moved ahead of her and we need more votes. I can't believe he pulled this off. He has no national presence at all. I think he got all the unions to help him and I wouldn't be surprised if the DCCC helped with their mailing lists.

If you've voted, spread the word to everyone you know. There's no way we can have Nancy and Gary as two of the finalists -- it will be an absolute bloodbath. You can vote once per e-mail address and for up to three candidates each time.

119. it was more a toss off comment
he said something like 'Barack Obama is not ready yet, for G_d's sake, I have a friend, a friend, Nancy Skinner that he was just running against a couple of years ago... he's only been a Senator for two years...'

Something like that, to emphasize the point that just a short while ago BO was an unimportant enough figure on the national stage that Malloy actually personally knew the person he'd run against.

It's going the wrong way. Gary keeps getting votes. Damn! This is so maddening -- he's got to have the unions helping and the DCCC and who knows who else. How do you compete with that? We have a few things up our sleeves, but I don't want it to get out of hand so it's out of reach. No way should he be the grassroots all star -- he's so not grassroots with his establishment backing.

37. After last night, I'm back to Edwards again. I didn't want to waste my primary
vote considering he was dropping off the radar. He really did seem like the adult by comparison. I'm surprised Hillary and Barack can't see how harmful this is to both of them. Geesh. This pissing contest is perfect for the Republicans, especially McCain.

The Clintons, yes you Bill, should back off, get back some dignity, and talk about what matters to us finally.

I like "Saracen Pig! Spartan Dog!" because it was one of Keith's SportsCenter catchphrases too.

I'm actually surprised he hasn't used it to describe this.

65. I'd be very happy if I never again have to:
--hear Bill take charge of Hillary's campaign (Bill, YOU'RE not running, SHE is!)

--hear ANYONE praising Ronald Reagan again. (Since we sure as heck can't count on the Repubs not to do it, that leaves it to the Dems.)

72. If Obama tries to run against Bill, he will be a blood smear on the pavement
because Bill will make it so.

He needs to focus on running against Hillary, not Bill, and pretend Bill doesn't exist.

And, frankly, with all due respect, Bill needs to shut his piehole and let his wife run her campaign. At least that's what I think--even if Hillary doesn't. If she doesn't see that, she's just following the traditional sexist role of riding on her husband's coattails.

77. Exactly.
Nothing wrong with Bill going out and speaking on Hilary's behalf, but it needs to be more along the line of what the other political spouses are doing. They are talking UP their spouse, not TEARING down another candidate. Big difference.

95. Yeah, but I think it's an even more delicate balance with Bill.
He's in a unique, unprecedented position, and he's also the only candidate's spouse who's actually BEEN president. That means it's very, VERY important for him to GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY and start acting more like the male version of a prospective First Lady than like a would-be re-president.

103. Exactly.
Of course people are going to notice Bill more than the other spouses, because, as you said, he was president. That's a double-edged sword for Hilary, I think. But yeah, he really needs to get out of the way!

128. Don't you think the Monica thing is looming in the background of all this?
10th anniversary, re-hashing of the public humiliation, total lack of judgment on Bill's part, leading to the fight of fights. Do I dare to suggest that maybe Bill is losing some of his objectivity because the past is still with HIM?

I don't know about you, but I want a leader who can keep a cool head when others are getting heated. Tossing out insults shows poor judgment. And the repukes will have a field day with that.

She loved him since '10 Things I Hate About You' and had a movie party for her birthday when 'A Knight's Tale' was in theaters.
What a terribly sad thing to happen, so young. His poor little daughter.

My, he's working hard! He's coming in for the South Carolina Dem primary too!

Just in time for football to end...he gets The Campaign.

Oh, and he's naming Chuck Knoblauch to WPITW...what, he's finally done something Keith thinks is WORSE than smacking his mother between the eyes with a baseball?!?!?

Perhaps he is unhappy that Mr. K declined to volunteer a deposition in the steroids investigation, and thus has had to be subpoenaed.
