My mom told me they said on the radio that this was the hottest June day since 1954, she has good reason to remember that because a certain someone was born during that 1954 heatwave!

Sorry Mom!

1. oh-oh.
Are you trying to tell us that you've been "born again?"

It cooled off here today - back in the 70's, where it belongs. I got to turn off the AC! :bounce:

2. Hey, it's June in the Mississippi-Missouri river valley.
High temps and high humidity rule.

4. See, Rev, now is the time of year
when YOU get to make fun of ME. I'm meeeeelllllting down here. It's been upper 90s every day for a couple of weeks and I'm spending a small fortune on AC and water. I keep the AC at 78 most days to try to keep the bill down but that just means I sweat ridiculously so today I have it down at 75. Ahhhhhh. There's nothing grosser than sticking to your leather couch. :P

AND, we've had orange ozone alert days about 10 days in a row. :(

5. 75? You wussy. We've got the thermostat set at 80.
Then again, we've got ceiling fans and the thermostat is older than dirt, so who knows what temperature it really is in here. It's the ozone alerts that suck more than the heat. I remember one summer about 20 years ago where the highs were at or over 95 six weeks in a row. It got to the point where the day felt "cool" if it was only 95. The "hot" days were the days it was over 100. :eyes:

6. Nope - not gonna do it.
Because it's supposed to be awful here tomorrow. In GB, it's supposed to hit the mid 90's. Here on the Lake, it will probably make it to 90.

I'm thinking it's beach-time tomorrow! B-)
