It was not nearly as excellent as KEITH'S SHOW TONIGHT.

From beginning to end...one of the absolute best.

Actually, Wes took over the show.

In fact, O'Lielly said at the break, "We'll be back with General Clark, who is taking over the broadcast, after this commercial break."

Every time O'Lielly went on a rant, Wes would look at him like some sort of freak. You know, kind of trying to be polite, but still wondering what the hell kind of accident happened to cause such an oddity.

8. So was chimpy lying?
When he said "the commanders tell me we don't need more troops." ??

McCaffrey rightly notes that half the force there is Army reserve.
And Keith adds that part of the speech was a sales-pitch for recruitment.

God, I love this man!

I like Clark's answer to the pic quiz opening.

And * avoids admitting his mistakes like most people avoid the plague. He wouldn't admit to a mistake it it walked up and slap him simple. Oops, to late he is already simple.

Guess its a good thing I threw out all the teflon pans years ago...teflon fumes are deadly to birds. Think that might of given a hint to it being a bit dangerous.

I'm proud to see Anchorage represented on Oddball today. Also, tonight on our local news was a story about a black bear climbing into somebody's (very nice) house here through the patio window, knocking over lamps, ripping up furniture, leaving paw prints on the wall, and, as if to leave his calling card, a big pile of poop in the middle of the beautiful hardwood floor. Only in Alaska.....

We have Bay-Airs here on the KOEB, too.
(you've got to read some of the back threads to see. Reference: any post with "Gull Bay" in the title.)

So, is the snow melted yet? :)

152. Well, that's just not true. Shame on Keith.
The snow's been gone for quite a while really, since about mid-April, at least here in Anchorage. We were up visiting an old gold mine a couple of days ago, though, where there was still a bit around. Here's a picture.

blaming Tucker's obtrusive promo for any failure "War of the Worlds" might have...

I am so sick of those promos. It seems most of the time, every time a part of the show I really want to see comes on, they throw Tucker on there obliviating everything with paint to plug his own show.

Now I have a different job. More pay, no privacy.

You never can tell!

I can see why there might be a market for this thing. I feel as if I can discuss NOTHING personal on my phone at work at all, which is bad because there are calls I can make only during work hours. To make them, I either have to wait for a day off or go make them during lunch in the nearby shopping mall, on a pay phone in a place full of noise. (No, I do not have a cell.)

I can completely understand Keith hiding under the desk! I may have to try it!

imagine a "Countdown" newsroom staffed by KOEBers... we'd have to leave hazard signs on the floor, "careful, don't slip on the snark," and half of the double entendres would be too risque even to put in the screen caps. :7

Not that the real staff appears to be sadly deficient in snark, but when the KOEB is hitting on all cylinders... let's just say I suspect KO would hide in his office. For weeks at a time. ;-)

140. Ah, I think Keith didn't say it tonight
because this was his big bid to submit one of his stories for an award, and he didn't want "Keep your knees loose" on the reel.

Boy, what a great story. Classic Keith.

He is SUCH a one for anniversaries...I should've known THAT was the news peg. He's forever remembering that it was 15 years ago to the day that this happened or 63 years ago to the day that that happened. If he ever does get married and he forgets his anniversary, his wife could murder him and not a court would convict her. ("He can remember the day Lou Gehrig made his debut in the major leagues, and he can't remember OUR WEDDING DAY! AGGGHHHHH!")

98. So he ended with a baseball story, but he didn't
say "keep your knees loose."

142. But I think there is an appropriate way to end this.

Here's the card of "Moonlight Olbermann":

He too wore a 1905 New York Giants uniform. He too missed out on his chance to actually play in a game. But that's OK, because he brings us snark, and if he had brought us snark for only five minutes...THAT would have been a tragedy.

Thanks, Keith! :loveya: and Good Night!

Had to teach tonight and again tomorrow night. Missed KO's take on the Preznit's speech. Hi everybody. I'll read down thread in a bit. Just wanted to say :hi:

148. Hi, Thumper.
It's a show worthy of watching. Tape it, if necessary. :)

151. It's definitely tape-worthy, Buns.
I will have to burn it to a DVD for all time! That's how good it is!
