...today marks the end of the NBC Universal two-day press tour appearance....Unfortunately, this last day seems over-packed with too much stuff and not enough time. Case in point the half-hour given to the "Decision '08" panel with NBC News president Steve Capus, "Hardball" host Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Joe Scarborough and NBC chief White House correspondent David Gregory. First off, 30 minutes on your election coverage isn't nearly enough and secondly, Matthews alone is capable of eating up 27 of those minutes answering one question, which he very nearly did.

...The rest of today is filled out with...a session for NBC's "Football Night In America"...

In short, Keith was a busy boy today. I wonder if he'll be able to fly back in time to be with us tomorrow night in good shape. I hope so. Either that or I hope he stays a week and does it as a busman's holiday.

Oh, and I can completely believe Tweety took up 27 minutes of the 30 devoted to the election coverage session.

But seriously, he does the event every summer, and Tim Goodman of the San Francisco Chronicle always blogs it. So when Keith first went missing, I checked out Goodman's blog. He wasn't there yet, but now that he is in LA, I checked again--sure enough, it's NBC/Universal Day!

Oh, and I knew about Keith and Dan being partners again because RACHEL announced it on COUNTDOWN. And the All-Star Game...well, I had a feeling he'd go to that and the prior night's Home Run Derby only because they were in Yankee Stadium this year. Usually he doesn't go--he's said on Dan Patrick's radio show that he's not really into the All-Star Game. But what with it being in the House That Ruth Built and all...it was a good guess that he'd probably go this year.
