KOEB Meeting #2 10/15/08 Post-Debate Edition
Man, watching McGrampy was a pain. All that, and DU broke again.

Here's Keith in jeans to take away some agony.

Have at it.

1. Oh, and I don't know about Joe the Plumber.
I only know about Josephine the Plumber:

6. Yeah, but she got paid less.
You can tell, because Joe was ready to buy the business. Josephine had to do TV ads.

15. Me too.
Now she was fun.

Although I give Jane Withers credit for learning French so she could speak the Comet commercials for French Canada herself, because her fans there wrote her letters and told her they didn't like hearing her voice dubbed on their version of the ads. I read that somewhere once.

and Madge the Manicurist. Plus the Maytag repairman.

I haven't seen the beginning of the debate yet, who brought up 'Joe the Plumber? McCain, Schieffer?

11. What I hated the most about him:
That smug, self-satisfied look he'd get on his face every time he successfully reiterated his tired old lies and talking points and Bob Schieffer said "Let's move on" so he always had the last word. It was like "So there!"

25. My favorite part was where they'd have a split screen and Obama would say something
that would just completely take him aback. Like, that Joe the Plumber's "fee" for not supplying his employees with health insurance would be zero.

"I'm still waiting to hear what that fee would be."

"Well, I'll tell you what it would be. It would be zero."

"Huh?!?!?"

begging Grampy to pretend to write something rather than lose his temper and make those faces. Instead, he scribbles and makes faces. What an eedjit.

30. Hi guys,
Just checking in before I head off to bed. McSame was a pathetic angry old man tonight. I really wish I could get on MSNBC tonight and watch KO and Rachel but because I'm in Ireland, they won't let me.

Listening to the talking heads on CNN right now. It's a total blowout for Obama according to their Flash polls.

What was with the Joe the Plumber. I guess I missed that on YouTube. I'll look for it tomorrow.

Well CNN just switched the feed to CNN International, so I'm defintely heading for the bed.

Oh, and BTW Happy Birthday SG. Mine's on Monday...

29. Oy, but that jacket with the jeans
Is that the G D Brown sports jacket?

Anyway, I still haven't seen the entire debate. I did catch the Roe v. Wade question and John McCain couldn't have done a worse job with that answer. His heartless cynical remark about the life of the mother was the companion response to Moose Woman's heartless reaction to Joe Biden's choking up about his family. Grotesque. I hear Grampy was on the attack for the first fifteen, then broke down into teeth gritting and eye rolling and 'get off my lawnisms. Andrea Mitchell needs to be off the air, her marriage to Greenspan makes her unacceptable to me as a commentator, especially on the economy.
