I can't believe any of it.

The more I think about it, the more able I am to understand how he could do it.

It's been a few days. When I had to go to my mom's calling hours, I was able to do it. I was able to talk, and laugh, and do things I did not think I would be able to do.

I was able to sit and try to get some work done that they'd sent me from my job, because it was a distraction.

But I'm still just...

Remember when Brett Favre's dad died? He played that Sunday, and had the game of his lifetime.
At Mom's funeral, my brother got up and did the eulogy.
I did the committal service at the cemetery.
I believe that God gives us the grace to keep going in our deepest sadness... and our actions become themselves an act of love.
