KOEB Meeting: 06/07/10 -- When Elton Met Rush Edition
:hi:, all! Welcome to another week. The oil is still flowing, and I don't understand why anyone still books Liz Cheney anyhow.

3. Let's let him start with Liz Cheney.
Just because. Then he can move on to her father, GWB, and the guy from BP. Him, I want to punch.

5. I vote for Dick.
Did you see tweety actually had a segment on called "Cheney's Katrina." I thought that was pretty cutting edge for tweety.

2. I actually found myself agreeing with her on Sunday
Unfortunately, at the same time, I said "Where the hell were you when your daddy was in cahoots with the oil companies"?

I'm here, but watching POTUS give his speech at the Kalamazoo Central HS graduation on the 'span.

that the cap they put on it was supposed to contain all of it. And, IIRC, they thought it wouldn't be a good seal because of the untimely death of the diamond band saw. Aw, Keith, I don't know if this is something to get all that mad about. If they can cap it better, let 'em do it.

29. Liz Cheney got the job to help rebuild Iraq post the U.S. invasion ......
...... even though she knew nothing about infrastructure or Iraq.

Her family made billions on that war. .... She hired right wingers from the heritage institute .....
you sold ice cream? but you are a right winger .... fine you are now in charge of the fresh water
supply system in Iraq.

Cost plus no bid contracts ... no chance for problems there.

BTW Did I ever tell you that you are my Fave?

39. I'm glad she retired.
There's no excuse for what she said. Too many on DU are supporting her. Yeah, she was great when she grilled Bush, but this was insane.

Nancy was supposed to debate Brad Blakeman about it on Fox today, but she got bumped because of breaking news on the arrest in the Wikileak case.

46. Too bad I couldn't have been around tonight.
I could've agreed with you all about Philippe Cousteau's general hotness. And moaned over Liz Cheney's annoyance.

I agree what Helen Thomas said was beyond the pale. What depresses me is that she is paying for it with her career, while conservatives who say that and worse just "apologize to anyone I may have offended" and go right on with what they're doing.

As for Elton, I'm disgusted enough at him that I enjoyed seeing Musto rip him apart. Then again, I thought it telling that Keith still saw fit to mention how many years Rush's bride is younger than him, and then quickly say "not that there's anything wrong with that." Hmm, Keith, if there's nothing wrong with it, why mention it? Just sayin'. :-)

See you later.
