2. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the soap opera
in Washington and here on DU.

And I got my cat out from under the house! Yay! I have two cats again! Yippee!

4. SHE WENT BACK UNDER THE HOUSE!
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

She was walking around unhappy this morning, just crying crying crying, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong-- made sure she knew where her food was, petted her, etc., then finally I decided to just let her alone. And so she braved my brother's room (where the dog is); she opened the door to his bedroom, opened the door to the bathroom, and BAM! She's vanished again.

I have to go through all of this again!!!!!

5. do you think she's not reacting well to the presence of your
brother? Some cats are skittish about having their environments changed.

6. Yep.
That's got to be it. Unfortunately there's not much I can do about it. I ordered some "Feliway" online and hopefully that will get here today. If that doesn't work I'll take her to the vet and get her some kitty xanax. :D

7. if the Xanax doesn't work on the cat, I suppose
you could always take it yourself. Is your brother just visiting or staying with you long-term?

8. He moved in.
It's nice to have someone around. I mean, I was living by myself in a three bedroom house, so it's no skin off my nose. But things are a bit chaotic right now-- transitions.

I also hope this isn't going to be much more than a stopgap for him while he's jobhunting. I can put up with anything for six months, but after that, it IS going to get kind of old.

9. Maybe it was all that hootin' and hollerin' from you?
Or she senses your pre-Fitzmas jitters?

By the way, MERRY FITZMAS TO ALL!!!
