Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 08:19 PM by bunny planet
OMG, this bunny had a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day.

I'll kvetch some more during the commercials.

:silly:

Oh, I just checked my post, and my computer filled in the rest of the sentence once it recognized the Hi Sharon greeting. That was from a post I made after you went to see 'Good Night and Good Luck'. Just another example of the little glitches and larger annoyances that have plagued my day.

I'm breaking open a Corona.

It is such a disgrace watching Pickles and Jr. walk up that red carpet at the summit as if they were really the President and First Lady.

I hope the people there know that we detest him just as much as they do.
;(

At least Pickles didn't look like she'd been electrocuted unlike the other night with Camilla, bride of Chucky.

For example: Timmy experienced anxiety when he mixed up the green pee cocktail and served it to his freeper in-law, but if was nothing to the angst his victim felt when informed of the contents of the drink he had just finished.

164. Make it Suntory time...
Infuse, not ferment.

ZEN Green Tea Liqueur uses carefully selected Kyoto green tea leaves of the highest grade grown by one of the most famous producers of fine teas in Japan, Marukyu-Koyama-En, which has been cultivating tea for more than 300 years. Infusing neutral spirits with whole and ground green tea leaves, ZEN is then blended in several herbs, such as lemongrass, along with other natural flavors to achieve its exquisite taste.

We need him to step up about this now, put a high profile on it and never mind if it hurts his chances in '08, without the fraud fixed it won't matter anyway.

Even then, Wolf was saying it was "anti-summit demonstrations" until DU slammed him with e-mails. Then he had to admit it was "anti-American". He just couldn't bring himself to say "anti-bush".

For some I think it's just an excuse.

We managed to get 350,000 or so people to protest in DC without any incidents.

As a Catholic, I'm supposed to be eating fish on Fridays - or, in the least, chicken. The Pope gave us that in 60s. :7

Obviously, neither of us practice our "religion" very stringently, but we're both very spiritual. :)

And the zebras are in a paddock like horses. The always come over to me and let me pet them. Funny, I always thought zebras could never be tamed, but they seem to like me for some reason and they seem to be OK in a paddock. We actually have a pretty awesome zoo for a medium-sized town.

Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I didn't respond to anyone last night, but I fell asleep. I'm still getting over a nasty cold and I conked right out during KO. Horrible I know but I couldn't help it.

As to how I and Wal-Mart are getting along? Well that would be lousy. My leg pain has gotten better, but my feet still hurt really bad. I can't find a comfortable pair of shoes. The cold I have is most probably a result of being around so many people. I haven't had a bad cold in some time and this has really hit me hard. Luckily I have 3 days in a row off to finally rid myself of it.

I'm still searching for other employment as I can't imagine working a long time for them. They are going to be open Thanksgiving Day and everyone "MUST" work. Thankfully I only have to work 4 hours, but I still find it disgusting. The next day, Friday, is going to be a horror show from what I've been told, but that's Wal-mart.

Sheridan says "Woof Woof" to everyone. He was a happy boy today since I spent it with him.

80. That segment with the terrorist suicide bomber cartoon was one of the
most disturbing things I've ever seen.

How is this much hatred ever going to be erradicated. It is cyclical and never ending in scope. Just horribly saddening.

And it is so innapropriate that KO had to segway into 'Keeping Tabs' right afterwards. I'm sure he wouldn't have chosen to do it that abruptly. In fact, I'm sure he'd rather not do 'Keeping Tabs' at all.

I found it encouraging that Keith interviewed a San Francisco Chronicle reporter earlier, a nice change from the usual suspects. Perhaps they are letting him talk to more liberals now without calling him into the office for a lecture.

Especially when you consider the violence in it is as fake as in any Road Runner cartoon. I'm so sure that if you wear a belt of grenades and blow yourself up, you're going to come out of it as an intact corpse with just a trickle of blood on your head. Sure.

And the worst part is, they want kids to BELIEVE this so they will kill themselves in the name of hating others.

Did her name pop out because Keef's dating her? Inquiring minds want to know!

180. LOL
That reminds me of one of my favorite jokes:

A little old Jewish lady took her young grandson to the beach. While he played in the shallow water, she stood on the beach not wanting to get her feet wet; all of a sudden, a huge wave appeared from nowhere and crashed directly over the spot where the little boy was wading. The water receded and the boy was no longer there - he had vanished into the sea.

The grandmother raised her hands toward the sky, and cried, "Lord, how could you take him? Have I not been a wonderful grandmother? Have I not been a wonderful mother? Have I not given to B'nai B'rith? Have I not given to Hadassah? Have I not lit candles every Friday night at dusk? Have I not tried my very best to live the life that you would have me live?"

A loud voice boomed down from the sky, "Okay, okay, already!" A few seconds later another huge wave appeared out of nowhere and crashed on the beach. As the water receded, the little boy was playing there, smiling, splashing around as if nothing had happened.

The loud voice boomed again, "I have returned your grandson. Are you satisfied?"

The grandmother looked at the boy for a moment, cupped her hands to her mouth and yelled up at the sky, "He had a hat!"

109. Sharon, have you ever gotten a scratch inside your eye.
I'm serious, that is the major part of what I'm dealing with today.
I thought I was having a reaction to some new mascara I used this morning but I took a hot shower, washed it all off, and my eye felt better for about a half hour, now it feels like glass is in it again.

You said you wanted to hear about it. Really, I need advice. Anybody still here?

(contacts, occasionally tear a lens - MAJOR OUCH!)

As hard as it is, the best thing is to do nothing. Keep air circulating on your eye (no bleever patch). Fortunately, the eye is one of the quickest healing parts of the body - or so my eye doctor tells me.

154. Oh and what else happened today since I'm Vente latteing, my home
insurance company decided to threaten to cancel our coverage unless we get a new roof put on this place, in six weeks. My roof is ancient, but has no leaks, I've got a contractors letter to prove it, but they won't listen to reason and are insisting. I really don't know what we are going to do, we don't have the ready cash for such an expense and couldn't get a roofer within that time frame even if we did. I feel like I'm being blackmailed, and needless to say I'm shopping for a new home insurance company. Looks like I'll be stuck with a half torn down seventies kitchen if this doesn't get resolved as the small home loan we took out will have to go towards the roof. Oy vey, not a big problem compared with what other folks have had to go through of course, but with the tooth, the eye, and the Bush Administration outrage of the hour, it just feels like a merde on toast a la mode kind of a day.

I don't understand how they can do that if you have a letter from the contractor that the roof is okay. Makes no sense to me. I'd get a new carrier ASAP.

The tooth and the eye will be fine, I'm sure. Well, the eye will probably be okay in a couple of days, the tooth you'll have to get taken care of. Hopefully you can reach an agreement with the insurance company or get a new one.

Maybe you should call FEMA. They'll put an ugly plastic blue tarp on your roof for only a few zillion dollars.

You didn't get to hear Keith on Dan Patrick's show, did you? You sure could've used it today. I swear they spent half the show talking about Hideki Matsui's porn collection that he travels everywhere with a suitcase full of some of it. Apparently this endears him to the people of Japan because it means he's a real human guy like all the rest of them. I tremble for what this means for Japan. Keith and Dan had a great time making jokes about how the next Yankee giveaway promotion was going to be "Hideki Matsui Handkerchief Night."

It wouldn't have fixed your roof, but it would've given you a laugh.

181. Is that what we are supposed to think about Scooter Libby's porn, I mean
novel, that it makes him a real human guy. I think not, Scooter's got some really badly written and pedophiliacal porn in his book 'The Apprentice.' Funny how the MSM doesn't feel the need to report any of that.

I hope Matsui's porn collection is just the old-fashioned consenting adult kind.

194. Hey, doesn't KO count as part of the MSM?
He sure had fun reading passages of it.

Ah, yes, nothing says "good old-fashioned family values" like a nice campfire story about taunting a female Bay Air with a stick so it will have sex with a 10-year-old girl.

Exactly HOW a female Bay Air has sex with a 10-year-old girl, I really don't want to know. :scared:

As for Matsui's porn collection, I wouldn't be so sure it is any cleaner. I mean, consider how, in Japan, the preteen to young teen girl is idolized as a sex object,, and you wonder. When you think that they actually used to have vending machines in Japan where salarymen could buy a pair of previously worn panties from a teenage girl...the mind reels.

197. you know, I heard that and got more distracted by the
Castilla anecdote than them giggling over the Matsui stuff. For those who didn't catch Friday's program, KO told a story about the Sports Center days: Dan pronounced a player's name "Castillo" and Keith corrected the pronunciation somewhat abruptly. In recounting this story, KO acknowledged that he should have corrected Dan more diplomatically but at the time he was the kind of guy who's a know-it-all that doesn't realize he's a know-it-all and Dan was the kind of guy who wouldn't forget being corrected, because for the next five years, Dan would always say, "Castilla" (emphasizing the corrected syllable) instead of "Castilla" and Keith in his turn would pronounce the hapless player's name "Casteeeeeeeella".

It was just a strange little story and I wonder why he brought it up and found myself thinking, "so now you're a know-it-all with insight? How much improvement has actually taken place?" And I wondered, not for the first time, if he's made as much of an effort to mend his fences with Dan as he did with others that were more estranged. Sometimes we take our friends for granted and forget that they're the people we should apologize to most often and most sincerely. Yeah, yeah, none of my beeswax, but every now and then I catch a strange vibe off the interaction that makes me wonder if Dan's gotten the recompense he wants. Perhaps he has and I'm way off base. Perhaps he hasn't, and the price of his forgiveness is more than KO is willing to pay, for any number of reasons. It's just a little weird there at times.
