Ken Blackwell

so far Issues 2, 3, 4, & 5 are all going down (they are all election
reform issues)
How the hell can a Governor w/ a 19% approval rating campaign
against these issues and win? Answer crooked voting machines.

We are loosing @ 2 to 1 in democratic counties?????

the #s make no sense! We are running 1.5 to 1 or 2 to 1 against the
issues in very democratic areas .....

No way these are legit.

I worked for these issues and got very good response .....

I could go and do real damage tonight. Ohio is so fucking corrupt.

counties? look now because I guarantee by the morning the #s from the
democratic counties will be much tighter ...... Covering their tracks!

This state is just too fucking dirty!

Please let Tom Noe or Nye or somebody cause the truth to get out.

64. New robotic phrase to repeat whenever attacked: "the American people"
Any time the press corps asks Puffy for answers and truth, all he has to do is accuse them of not having the interests and safety of "the American people" at heart.

Uh-oh. That one's not only transparent but, as Keith said, a BAD idea when one considers the current mood of "the American people" toward what their best interests are.

30. Don't ya just love David Gregory. My favorite thing is how cucumber cool
he remains while questioning Scot's bold face lies. He just folds his arms in front of him and goes after him. It's a beautiful thing.

It really is getting uncomfortably Ziegleresque during these press conferences.

I was yelling "Scott, quit giving me that crap. Quit trying to frame me as an enemy of the American people, when all I'm trying to do is get at the truth while you try to hide it!"

Yes, I was speaking FOR the press!

14. Hola, I voted for Governor Corzine (hopefully, with no shenanigi)
Keef is doing a great job tonight so far.

I watched the little Snottie press conference this afternoon, but KO's highlights were just jaw droppingly wonderful to see. The press has teeth, finally. How long can Scottie continue being a 'lying sack of crap'(cue song)?

I wish he wasn't talking to Howard Fineman about it but oh well.

See you during the commercial.
Ethics class puppet theater, hysterical, with the Nixon head taped to the blackboard.

Do they dare try it again right now?

Never mind, I know the answer to that question.

I'm worried here in Joisey because we are apparently not doing exit polls here. What proof do we have when they tell us it's neck and neck here (which it really shouldn't be, 65% against Bush and his party in this state).

49. I still had my old fashioned lever machine to vote on today but for
2006 we will be getting the dreaded computerized screens too. I think the freeholder's in our county did insist that there be a verifiable paper trail for all new machines purchased for this county, not sure what has happened in the rest of the state. We might have to have another tea party and toss those machines overboard if they try and steal the '06 race.

53. We've had optical scan for a long time, but we even got newer
optical scans that work a little differently this time. The whole state got the same machines. Now, instead of connecting the arrows, we just fill in an oval.

We only had two unopposed city council candidates and you vote for two. I don't know why they even bothered to spend the money for the election. We went when I got home from work, and we were only the 34th and 35th voters in our precinct all day. When I told my neighbor I couldn't walk with her because I had to vote on the way home, she said "I'm supposed to vote?" She didn't even know we had anything on the ballot and she's pretty informed.

72. I don't think there's anything left to say.
I suspected last night that the woman who said it sounded as if someone in the stall was "sick" was the one with thr true story. The one who ended up getting slugged out for her pains was probably drunk as a skunk herself and it didn't occur to her in her inebriated state that even if two people are in a stall together, if you hear moans coming from the stall, it could just be because someone is REALLY sick and someone else is holding her hair, if you know what I mean. End of story.

I wish I hadn't watched it. I'm sick. I only caught it after naked guy came on the scene (stairs you know) but watching him was enough. It was clear when he sat in that kitchen that he was a pathological liar, I wasn't surprised at all that he was back at the next day. He's 43, he's probably been molesting children for 20 years. So frightening.

but I couldn't help but think...that first guy looks like he has other problems. He twitched and stuttered a lot. I wonder if he has something like Tourette's syndrome. People with Tourette's are not known for impulse control. Or maybe it had made him a social misfit and as a result he had turned to the Internet and children.

Please don't think I am trying to justify these creeps' behavior in any way. It just seems to me that some of them could have a story that goes deeper than "I'm a sicko who wants to do it with kids."

88. yep
the stories i could write about all the drama queens in court. usually a simple "do you like your enchiladas on wednesday?" (that's when the jail serves them) is enough to set the perv straight.

sometimes it's really hard to keep a straight face (courtroom decorum & all) until i get to my car or office.

89. I can believe it. I can believe almost anything, after
weathering the contested divorce of a close friend. People ask me if it was bitter. I tell them "surreal" would be a better descriptor. Most divorces don't begin with a proposed settlement consisting of real estate you don't actually own. :P

71. I will do a Bay Air story anytime but .....
..... what sick f*** writes about screwing a dead deer?

Just proves that the repug leaders play with the Christian vote
for elections but down deep they have some major skeletons
in their closets.

Gannon was into real freaky stuff .... flipping & twisting ....
pitching and catching and he was an overnight guest @ the
White House too.

Rep. Shockley (SP???) of Virginia most have known about
the "leather and pain" lovers because when he was trolling on line
for Gay Sex he said he wasn't into the "hardcore stuff."

Good thing that they were all over that nasty b.j. and Monica.

Ohio tonight  No way was that vote clean on issues 2, 3, 4, & 5
we were going down @ better then 2 to 1 in democratic counties!

78. Let's see, if we are to believe what else Keith says,
in Scooter's book, we also have a bear screwing a 10-year-old girl. So hey, if a bunch of men screw a dead deer, at least there are several consenting adults in the picture.

Seriously, though, I see a scary pattern: It seems as if in all the sex being described in this lovely tome, a theme runs throughout: helpless creatures being violently raped. Either because:

1. they're children and thus can't give consent
2. they're caged and thus can't give consent
3. they're children in a cage up against a Bay Air and thus can't give consent
4. they're animals and thus can't give consent
5. they're caged animals and being poked with a stick and thus can't give consent
6. they're dead and thus can't give consent
7. they're dead animals and thus can't give consent

Multiple partners, or gang bangs, also seems to be a big theme.

So the joke about how this relates to Republican behavior is...well, it just writes itself.

61. Somehow I always knew KO was a big fan of the Borowitz report.
That was such a funny segment. I love Andy Borowitz. Thom Hartmann reads from the Borowitz report practically everyday, one of our best political satirists. Really top notch show tonight.
I was so happy Keith mentioned Rick Santimonioustorum's fear of gay sex leading to man on animal sex. That kind of hypocrisy is really crying out to be skewered.

Bravo Keef.

66. hi sharon & everyone!
:hi:

:wow: what a show. i loved the whole "roasted spokesliar" segment. i think steph will go back to calling him chummy mcsharkbait. and even i, with my lousy 2 semesters of journalism, know that you don't get the reporters back on your side by insulting them. they had him cornered, he knew it. all he had left in his bag o'tricks was ad hominum attacks. for a second there, i thought scotty was going to cry. where are you jeff, when i need you most?

the pedophiles--damn, that was hard to watch. those creeps are sick sick sick...did you notice the "operation iraqi freedom" shirt on the nekkid guy when he showed up at mcd's?

libby's book--lots of repression going on there....

76. It was indeed an incredible show.
The parts that weren't funny...well. Some were horrifying. (Yes, I did notice the "Operation Iraqi Freedom" T-shirt. We're all for Iraqi freedom, but kids' freedom from predators...forget that.)

And the parts that were funny were hilarious.

Would've changed just one part. Keith made a reference in Oddball to "Prague, Czechoslovakia." Uh, Keith, Czechoslovakia hasn't existed in quite some time. You mean "Prague, Czech Republic."

That was Keith's Central and Eastern European geography lesson for today. In next week's lesson, Keith will learn to stop putting a "The" in front of "Ukraine," as if it is just a region rather than a country all on its own.

79. First: why should Keith be a "guilty" pleasure?
What's to feel guilty about?

Second: what is "porn" about his show (besides Scooter's book and Hideki Matsui's suitcase, that is)?

81. Maybe because KO is so smart, funny, snarky, and handsome that
'the thinking woman' starts to have dirty thoughts about what she'd like to do to him and with his wooly caterpillars.

OK. So, some of us thinking women have such thoughts.

But whatever is there for us to feel GUILTY about for having them?
