Do we want to leave on Sunday or Monday?

LaGuardia but you must stay 4 days and one of the days has to be a Sunday.

I can either leave Sunday or Monday. I'll do whatever most people want to do.

I can always hit up a museum or something if y'all decide to go back on Sunday. It's not like there's a shortage of Things To Do in New York.

My flight would be about $40 less if I stay over Sunday night, of course, I'd have an extra night of hotel and dinner. A Friday flight that would get me in a little after 3 p.m. with a return around noon on Monday is $201 right now. If I came back Sunday late afternoon/early evening it would go up to about $245. I just wish I knew what kind of specials might be available after the holidays.

you never know what the deals are going to be. i would be dancing for joy & booking really really fast if i scored a $201 fare from here!! but you live a lot closer to nyc than i do. :cry:

don't forget to factor in "quality time spent with some rather eccentric* friends" when doing your cost/benefit analysis. will you regret not spending the time? if so, it's worth it. :)

the extra night. That gives me the whole day and evening on Sunday. I'd leave mid-day on Monday and get home at a reasonable time. I could leave at 6 a.m. and get to work, but who wants to get up at 3:00 a.m. to get to the airport by 4:30 or 5:00? Not me, that's for sure. I'd be too tired to go to work. May as well get some sleep, leave for the airport mid-morning and get home early-mid afternoon and rest up. If there are enough people staying over, I will, too.

I even checked out USA 3000, which I thought flew to NY from here, but doesn't anymore, and Air Tran. Air Tran flies to NY, but by way of Atlanta -- making for 5-8 hour travel time. And the flights weren't any cheaper than NW.

It's all good.
