constructive criticism for the show
Edited on Sun Dec-25-05 07:41 AM by Syrinx
Don't get me wrong. I like the "Oddball" break in the middle.

But I wish the quality of the journalism wouldn't go down after the break. Stories 5 and sometimes 4 are almost always quality stuff. But I think Keith could often sacrifice stories 3 on down to make room for more expansion on the "bottom" stories of the day.

Also, I wish the show would do more independent investigations and wouldn't rely so much on the stuff from the network can. Give Monica and Craig, for example, more to do. And get Keith on the road, or in the field, a bit.

Countdown is the best news program on American TV, but it could be so much better, in my opinion. And that's only my opinion.

And if "Mo Rocca" appeared less often, I wouldn't cry too long, or too intensely. (His pseudonymous ass isn't funny.)

2. I have a feeling Keith is bit uncomfortable with it, too.
Remember that long string of "stories my producers are forcing me to do"? I've bitched long and hard about it, and sent letters to the show, begging them to just let Keith be Keith, and do the stories he wants, not "stories that sell."

Keith: New Year's Resolutions - NO MORE TOM CRUISE!!! PLEASE!!
