I agree with you completely about DeLay. I posted a similar thought the other day. It is more important that AMERICANS are rid of
him, not Dems.

The repugs talking point was that DeLay was "gifted."

the thinking seems to be that with Delay out of office, all their problems will magically vanish. If the Dems talk about it, the R's will claim that it's partisan politics because Delay is history. Problem is, there is so much corruption among the R's right now, I don't think it's going to matter. The average Joe doesn't follow politics second-by-second and may not care that much whether Delay is still in office. Hell, the average Joe knows a ploy when he sees one.

I think the whole business is kind of like a litter box smell if you've gone away for a long weekend and left multiple cats to their own devices: you can clean the box the minute you get back, but that smell's gonna be hanging around for a while. ;-)

But of course, what happens but in some circles he gets criticized for covering it AT ALL. As if he didn't make the DHS sex scandal his top story over that. As if he never reported on how badly things are going in Iraq.
