I got that "I Have a Dream" placard with * and Cheney behind bars at the event I went to tonight. Carl and Sandy Levin spoke at the UAW hall. It's only about the size of a legal-sized sheet of paper, but I'll bring it to NY with me. Some way-farther-left-than-me guy had some and was handing them out. He's threatening to vote Green because Levin isn't far enough left for him. It's that kind of thinking that will lose us elections.

tie, but the way the light is hitting it, it looks like that tie on the right of the screen and a blue and yellow rep tie on the left side of the screen. The rep tie goes better with the blue. :hi:

No beige, it turned out to be an election for the chairperson. All went as it should and, as I told Sharon(?) last night, it was nice to see my vote counted -- and counted properly! :)

it's runoff day in Texas & it seems a couple of counties left off the name of the real Dem. candidate for Senator (not my county though, thank god)

she's leading handily in the early voting counts that have been turned in. of course our republican secretary of state (reportedly the "special friend" of gov. goodhair) says that leaving her name off the ballot isn't a "major problem." i hope she sues over it. :)

it would be a fraudulent election and have to be redone, I'm sure.

I sure hope Busby can pull off 50%+1 in California so they don't need a runoff. That could put her in a good position to win the seat in the regular election in November.

The Yankees won their home opener and he's got his own Watergate to cover.

Oh, and the lighting at 30 Rock really makes him look much less gray. Why is it that in Secaucus he always looks about 10 years older?

I think the lighting in Secaucus makes him look "smoother" but not necessarily younger or older. The lighting here is very sharp and newsy, and Secaucus looks like it's a little softer. My .02

Carl called * "stupid," among other things. It was like a pep rally and they got the crowd ready for the coming election season. He talked about the "culture of corruption" in the current administration. One of his aides had typed up a list of all of the indictments, investigations, etc., but he said he didn't want to take an hour and a half to read them all.
