Bob Cox Guilty of Premature Jocularity?

Now, mind you. I stay away from OlbermannWatch the same way I try to avoid mad cow disease. After all, the effect on one's brain from either ingesting mad-cow-tainted meat or reading OW must be quite similar.

But I have received indirect intimations that old Bobby Cox is already dancing with glee over the end of Rick Kaplan at MSNBC...because he seems to think that it means either the canning of Keith or a guaranteed cancellation for Countdown very soon.

I'm not sure where he gets that idea from. Then again, he and his ilk are more than eager to assume that the only reason Keith and his show are on the air is because one mistaken idiot/fool/etc. with power actually likes him...and once you get rid of that single idiot/fool/etc., you get rid of the show.

I'm not so sure he's on the money with this one. Wouldn't it be a shocker to him if a new person came in and decided Countdown was the ONLY (or one of the few) programs worth salvaging on MSNBC, and jettisoned all or most of the rest?...

Kaplan as "Countdown's biggest supporter at MSNBC" that that means he's "Countdown's only supporter at MSNBC", which I find hard to believe.
