Seriously, though, it depends on how weary people are getting of not having this question resolved. They really need to start putting something in that space, and I think the last ones to give up are the folks who feel ANYTHING built on that ground would be sacrilege.
But I think you've put you finger on a central point, Berry, namely, that New Yorkers want to be the ones to decide this. Americans may feel 9/11 happened to all of us, but New Yorkers are understandably and I think justifiably proprietary about the attack on the Towers specifically. You're right when you say the campaign to implement KO's proposal should be centered there.
