Just seem a shame that our country is now poorer and so many
people are now shattered for * lies and war to create terrorism.

Can my buddies go and post some respect for these heros

Also I think if other KOEBs and friends see a post of
another KIA please put it in the clubhouse so "we"
can @ least show some love and real patriotism .....
...... vs a magnetic sticker bought @ Wal Mart.

* better pray nightly that their is no judgmental God .....

BTW it has now been longer from 9/11 than Pearl Harbor to
V. J. Day.

1. Suggestion: keep this thread going, rather than starting a new one...

. . . every time someone is killed in action. Otherwise, at the rate we're losong Americans, this will soon become the KIA Group instead of the KO Group. (To tell the truth, I sort of appreciate the Clubhouse being a sanctuary.)

We have other such "perpetual threads," so an ongoing KIA thread would be following previously-established precedent.

That said, I can only repeat what I've asserted in the past with regard to the pointless carnage overseas: that the women of America must draw the line dramatically if this madness is ever to end.

At least we still have THAT right.

3. B, might I make a suggestion?
(And you may already be doing this). If you feel helpless, why not get involved with your local Democratic party? It's not an election right now, but there are lots of things that you can be doing. We are really trying to rebuild the party with true-blue activists. Howard Dean has said he would like to organize the Party from the grassroots up. This means trying to have an activist precinct organizer in every precinct in the country. If you don't have a lot of time to devote, even a few hours a month will help, and you can do all sorts of things, like helping with computers, making phone calls, help organize events like a hamburger cookout, or that kind of thing.

All I know is that when I read the news I feel sad and sick and helpless.

And when I go out and DO something to help local Democrats it goes away and I feel powerful and strong and happy and excited.

Why do you think I volunteer so much? It's keeping me from going completely 'round the bend. :7

5. What you're doing is wonderful, crispini - and the midterm elections will

. . . be here before we know it!

Working on House and Senatorial campaigns can be more satisfying in some respects than the relative anonymity of just particpating in a presidential campaign every 4 years.

4. I agree with you. I'm suggesting you post the link on a perpetual thread.

. . . I promise you I will read it and respond.
