Anyone been dealing with a sinus infection of late?
Just went to the doc this afternoon, and I'm taking Zythromycin. Nasty taste in my mouth, facial pain, etc. Ugh!

1. I usually get a mild one this time of year
secondary to spring allergies. This year, it's mulberry poisoning, the pollen count here has peaked over 10,000--an astonishingly high number.

Mine generally clears with no antibiotics as soon as the pollen count lowers. However, if it's bad enough to be uncomfortable and give you a rotten taste in the mouth, it's bad enough for antibiotics.

2. Poor you
Those suck. That antibiotic should knock it out quickly, though. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm having an allergy attack today. Ah-choo!

4.  If zythromycn does the trick great
Me, well silver is the best for any infection as long as I can make contact with it with the silver, sinus, ear infections, and others.

5. applying silver nostrums to mucus membranes can give you argyria

This woman knows all about it. She got argyria as a kid from a silver-containing nasal spray. She's had it ever since: the discoloration of argyria is permanent.

I hope you'll reconsider dosing yourself with silver. If not -- well, I hope it's a nice shade of blue...

6. and here's another discolored colloidal silver victim:

He took his colloidal (yes, colloidal, not a salt or metalloprotein) silver faithfully. Then it started turning him funny colors.

Poor guy.

7. I Get Them
during this time of year at least once a month? I love the trees and the spring blooms of the midwest...but geesh the pollen is like snow when the wind blows. Yuck! I feel for you!

8. i had really serious allergies, sneezing till i passed out.. weakness and
Edited on Fri Jul-28-06 08:39 PM by sam sarrha
asthma like symptoms.. grass and corn pollen was the worse, dust, animal dander .. i was a mess, a friend that did yoga told me about washing out my sinuses, it seemed logical that if i removed the stuff causing it it might get better, and life on antihistamines.. before psudophedren.. isn't much of a life.. driving is unsafe. i would get so weak i would just have to sit down or fall down, where ever i was.

well i had raw sinuses, but i had to start somewhere.. so i made up a weak saline solution and put some in a cup and tilted it up to my nose and sniffed it into my nose, let me tell you.. it lit me up, the pain was really serious, but it went away fairly quickly, and the symptoms of my allergies.

i now just cup my hands and fill them with water in the shower and inhale a large quantity of water through my nose and spit it out.. yea, it sounds gross, but i dont get colds and sinus infections, i used to get them all the time, i never get sick or have symptoms of allergies, if i get into some dust or pollen i wash my hands real good and rinse the stuff out of my sinuses before i get symptoms.. as long as i do it regularly it isn't painful, just real invigorating.

i have never had any problems doing this, i have been doing it nearly daily for 35 years, i do wash my hands really good each time.

9. I think so; I recently have had many dizzy spells until I went away
on vacation and got a head/chest cold. I was prescribed some antibiotics for that, and the dizziness stopped. So while I wasn't in pain, I'm thinking a sinus infection caused the dizziness.
