Keep me in your thoughts; going for a colonoscopy tomorrow.
I have to go every 2 years (diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at age 19 in 1990), and while I should be used to it, it still is not fun...especially the prep.

1. The prep is the worst part
After you're up all night on the throne, the test itself is anticlimactic.

I'm sure you'll do fine.

2. Thanks; yeah, the prep is pretty sucky. Just took four
Dulcolax; have to drink the nasty stuff in about an hour and 1/2.

I hope they drug me up so I won't feel or remember anything?!

Thanks.

3. Doc said next time they're going to have me deeply sedated
in the hospital. He had to stop the test as I was having a lot of pain (that I remember), but he told my hubby he did about 75% of the test, and everything was fine.

9. Huh? The next time? This wasn't done in a hospital under heavy sedation?
That's the only way I've heard of it done around these parts, and they remove any polyps found right away. Hubby and his sister had theirs this year. He received a clean bill of health - no polyps - no need for another test for 10 years. His sister wasn't so lucky, they found and removed 2 polyps (they were benign) but she'll to return next year.

Here I thought that was just standard procedure, but I guess not...learn something everyday around here.

4. I had one yesterday
I did not think it was that big of a deal at all - I had no problem drinking the gatorade mix or tolerating a few hours of the trots - but I really hated not having cream in my coffee - THAT sucked

Had to have two biopsies though.....hmmmm.....I hear they are mostly OK though

8. If it isn't one thing it'll be something else.
:(

Doesn't sometimes feel like you're getting ganged up on?
