Ovarian Cyst
2 by 3 centimeters and hurts like hell. Pain killers are not working. I have to wait until my next period. I'm so irregular that I might have to induce my period if it does not come in the next 2-3 weeks. I am so scared. Please help. thanks.

1. more info?
did they find this on an ultrasound? what is it that they are waiting to do when you get your period? is this a chronic occurrence?
pain killers often do not work for this stuff. my daughter occasionally has a hellacious period, and the doc has posited that she has an ovary entwined with a ligament. so the normal swelling is being squashed. no insurance, so no testing, etc.
she takes ibuprophen, but at about 4x otc dose. helps a little.
as she is getting older (32), tho she has it less and less frequently.
hope you feel better.

2. Thanks. They found it on an ultrasound.
Get period, then birth control called Lutera. Cyst is not chronic, but something screwy with my periods. Often irregular.

I'm 26 and never been pregnant.

4. PCOS?
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It can cause all kinds of problems. You can google up more articles to see if you have more of the symptoms. Here's an overview.
