Exercise
Well today, after the winter... went on a longer ride on my bike. Partly it was need. I had to take care of an errand and the truck is in the fritz, so I went... well it is nice, it is more or less warm, it is daylight, take the bike.

I must say, I am actually proud of myself and now know that my physical fitness is much better than it was oh three years ago when I started with a Gazelle and could not do any exercise for more than oh three minutes. Yes I was about 50 pounds heavier, thanks to Avandia, and could not move much. So I went off the Avandia and started the road on to losing weight and getting in shape. IT started, I am not kidding, with three minutes on a gazelle which left me short of bread, and sore.

Now this is a personal quest, and one that takes a lot of effort at times. But getting on the bike today and doing a six mile bike and NOT being sore... folks I could not have done this three years ago. So yes, you can do this. But it takes discipline. And yes, it is a good thing.

But as I pointed in the GD when doing the PSA... as a Diabetic I did not bring my glucometer <------- finger waggle
I did not bring a quick snack <----------- yes I got the shakes before I got food in, in the middle of the ride. That could be dangerous.

And yes I did pace myself, so at least I remembered to do THAT!!!!

So yes, remember those two things, and mostly have fun. It is good for you, and your body, regardless of chronic problem, (I know a few this don't apply so ignore it), will thank you for it.

Nadin

Who still struggles with adult metabolic syndrome and now celiac like ... it never ends, huh? But at least we can help ourselves by doing whatever we need to do to remain healthier.
