So the insurance turned down my script for three pills a day of
a drug, available as a generic, on the grounds that the dose was too high, even thought the dose was well within guidelines.

So my doctor just re-wrote the script for the newly released and presumably more expensive continuous release version, each capsule containing the same dosage as three of the cheap generic pills.

TAKE THAT! Oh Evil Insurance Company!

1. why the hell are the insurance companies doing this to us?
I too was denied an allergy medication I have been taking for 15 years. I ended up ordering the drug from overseas. I wonder if I will get it?

This makes me sick!

I'm glad you had an option to get even with the drug companies this time around. However, this practice is spreading like wildfire!

The message is: "Screw you Medicare recipients! Go die quickly so we can pick over what might be left of your remains!". :(

2. They've already had their revenge. Yesterday was a decent day,
but 24 hours too early for me to pick up all my medications for the month. Today i have to drive out into a storm to do that!:(
